Standing steadfast

Let No-one Deceive You
Take heed that no one deceives you.
For many would come in My Name, saying, “I am He”, and will deceive many.
Mark 13 v 5 -6
For false christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonder, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Matthew 24 v 24
What is Spiritual Deception?
Spiritual Deception means to cause to roam (from safety, truth or virtue), to seduce.
From safety – we become vulnerable; we stray from the protection of the Shepherd.
From truth – we believe lies, which leads to our souls being poisoned.
From virtue – we are led into sin.
Go astray – led away by false teachers likened to Balaam. 2 Peter 2 v 15
Seduce – we get seduced by deception because it looks good, or it tickles our ears, or it appeals to our vanity.
There are parallel passages of Yeshua’s private briefing to His disciples, He says,
“Take heed that no one deceives you.”
Mark 13 v 5-6, Luke 21 v 8, Matthew 24 v 24
He warns them not to go after them. Other translations say “watch out and be careful.” Jesus tells us, there will be deceivers who are Satan’s attack upon Christ’s body.
Spiritual biblical truths in many churches today, have become mixed with humanistic philosophy, causing much deception. They have been infected by worldly systems, bringing hypocrisy, immorality and deceiving spirits.
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times, some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits, and doctrines of demons.
1 Timothy 4 v1
The Great Apostasy
Paul says the end of the age can’t come until there is a falling away. 2 Thessalonians. 2 1-4. Apostasy, is the deliberate, falling away of God’s truth, before the anti-christ can be revealed.
But evil men and imposters will grow worse, and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in the things which you have learned and being assured of, knowing from whom you have received them, and that the childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
The greatest enemy of the “True Church” will be the “false church”, the harlot church, which will be full of witchcraft and idolatry. Rev 17 1-6. The false church will be the bride of the anti-christ.
Greek thinking is a root of deception.
1) It ignores the Jewishness of Jesus.
2) It overlooks the divine election of Israel.
3) Is blind to God’s prophetic purposes for Israel.
4) It disregards the identity of the Coming King, Jesus, Messiah.
How do we Resist and Overcome Deception?
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against powers, against this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6 v 12
1) Make sure our armour is in place. Eph 6 13-18
2) Not simply resisting temptations & assaults, but to stand, withstand, and having all stand!
Truth, Righteousness,Readiness with the Gospel, Faith as a Shield. Salvation as a protector of our minds. The Sword of the Spirit – the Bible – the Word of God, Prayer and Supplication, and Watchfulness.
How to stay on Course
1) Keep short accounts with God, walk daily in repentance.
2) Continue in the knowledge and wisdom of scripture.
3) Continue on in the inner assurance of the Lord by His Spirit.
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you in into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever he hears He will speak, and He will tell you things to come.
John 16 v 13-15.
He does not lie. He is the Spirit of Truth. He Guides and leads us gently, lovingly, but clearly. He does not speak on His own authority, only the Ruach Ha Kodesh speaks the words that Yeshua, gives Him for us.
In Ephesians 1 : 15-23 Paul prays a prayer for all believers for Spiritual Wisdom.
He says – Take comfort and courage, for our love for the body and His saints, is a strength for our faith and spiritual walk.
He reminds us, the Lord is always faithful, and He holds in the palm of his hands. His love is abounding to us, and His desire is to fill us exceedingly with the fullness of His Spirit.
To equip us to be His representatives here on earth, until His return, which will bring glory to His Name. Having the heart of “The Bride”. A church beautified, ready for the Bridegroom.

Let the Trumpet Sound
Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound the alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming, for it is at hand. Joel 2:1
Understanding the times
Biblical, prophetic history is being fulfilled rapidly in these days. It suggests we are rapidly heading towards a coming judgement upon the world. God is requiring us as individuals and the corporate church of Jesus Christ to rise up in a new measure of victory, power and authority.
To demonstrate that in the face of all satan will attempt to do, God through His people is able to do much more than we could ever think or ask. When it seems that things have gone too far, suddenly the Spirit of the Lord, will come and “raise up the standard.”
Not on man-made meetings or programmes, but on the in-gathering of true believers from all denominations who are standing on the prophetic truth of God’s word,
“not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as in the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25
What God requires
Now therefore says the Lord, turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He relents from doing harm. Joel 2:12
Many churches are in slumber, unaware of the urgent days we are living in, turning over in their sleep. Yet there is an urgency for the “Clarion Call” to go forth in these significant times.
God is requiring believers to stand in the gap in repentance, to intercede for His mercy. To bring in a great harvest of souls from “All Nations”.
Here in the UK, unrighteous laws have broken all the ten commandments, giving access to demonic influences, through sin and ungodliness, allowing the spiritual gates of our cities and towns to be torn down.
Our responsibility to Israel
God is also desiring the church to fulfill this responsibility to Israel. The covenant He made with Abraham, has never been revoked, and as Gentiles we have been grafted in.
As we have shared in their spiritual inheritance, we are indebted to minister to them also in material things. Romans 15:27
A sobering thought.
For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, and these nations shall be utterly ruined, Isaiah 60:12.
Our Response
Elijah took on his shoulders the prophetic responsibility for His people and His nation (James 5:17-18). Likewise the “Clarion Call” is calling us to adopt the Elijah spirit akin to His heart in these last days. To pray with God’s wisdom and prophetic understanding.
As darkness increases, and it surely will, God’s light will illuminate the darkness, pouring out His love, His blessing and His provision upon Israel, His chosen people and the Church.
Conclusion
God declares in Psalm 2:6,
Yet I have set My King (Jesus) on My Holy hill of Zion. Jesus is the Victor and all nations will come and worship at His feet.
And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. Blessed are those who do His commandments that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city. Rev.22:12-14
Amen and Amen!
