Reach and Teach
Our calling
The main focus of our calling is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and to reach out to the Body of Christ with encouragement and teaching.
“I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no-one can work.” (John 9:4)
A new emphasis on ministry
God has opened a new door and emphasis of ministry for John and Pam in recent times.
It has been impressed on John’s heart that God is calling them to go into the ancient and established churches on the Isle of Wight and beyond.
God is calling them to bring basic foundational teaching on discipleship with a strong caring gift of encouragement. They believe that God is begining to call the Body of Christ to a place of restoration. (Acts 3:19-21)
The bride of Christ has to prepare herself for the bridegroom before Christ will return for his bride.
(Eph 5:27) The bride will not be complete, until it includes Jew and Gentile, the one new man. God’s emphasis and focus for the church in these last days is clear, restoration and unity.
Prayer and Intercession
What is Intercession
Intercession is standing in the gap, praying through that which God has ordained for a particular, person, situation or Nation. Becoming the vessel of the prayers of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:26. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weakness. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
The Lord gives the burden, travail is bringing the burden to birth (as of a woman in labour) which is then returned to Jesus who is sat at the right hand of God, who constantly makes intercession for us before God’s throne.
Hebrews 7:25. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He ever lives to make intercession for them.
The Model Prayer
Matthew 6:10-12. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. And forgive us our debts. As we forgive our debtors.
Intercession requires laying down our own agendas and surrendering to Gods purposes. Repenting of personal, corporate and national sin where applicable. Being empty vessels for the Holy Spirit to flow through. This is often accompanied by fasting. It will also include spiritual warfare. Addressing powers of darkness, where we rise up in the Name of Jesus with God’s Kingdom backing. Administering that which Jesus has already won through the cross – triumphant victory.
Colossians 2:15. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Corporate Intercession
2 Chronicles 7:14. If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Corporate prayer is togetherness in the body, being one in mind, in harmony.
Confessing of unrighteous laws and statutes in the land which have allowed curses to be established. Reversing the curse to release God’s blessing and purpose according to His word in scripture.
Being Watchmen
Isaiah 62:6. I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem, who shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Watchmen never sleep, they are on guard continually. Looking from the high place from any pending dangers or invasion. They pray the prophetic scripture in faith over circumstances, geographical areas and situations. Declaring and proclaiming biblical truths in the spirit until they manifest themselves in the physical and God’s purposes are fulfilled.
